
10 TIPS TO BURN THE BELLY FAT
1. Keep the complex carbohydrates you eat in your evening meal to 100-200calories. Complex carbs are thinking foods that you need at breakfast or lunch to give your muscles energy and your brain energy so you can think properly. Choose good quality complex carbs that are whole foods unprocessed and high in fiber (sweet potatoes, yams, butternut squash, brown rice, quinoa, beans etc.)
2. Eat your last meal 2-3 hours before going to bed to give your stomach an opportunity to digest the food before you go to sleep.
3. Have 2-3 cups of green tea per day to increase fat burning, strengthen your immunity, decrease your risk of cancer & alkalinize the body.
4. Curb your sugar cravings with citrus fruit. Citrus fruits like grapefruit & oranges will help curb your sugar cravings because they contain the flavonoid naringenin which helps stabilize your blood sugar level so you can increase your fat burning! Grapefruit and oranges are also high in fiber & Vitamin C so enjoy!!
5.Have at least 5grams of fiber per meal or snack. Fiber slows the absorption of sugar into the blood stream helping you burn more fat. Here are some you can add to your diet to increase your fiber intake:
-Bran Cereal has 12.5grams of fiber in 1/2 a cup (sprinkle over greek yogurt or add to salads)
–Green Peas have 8.2grams of fiber in 1cup
-Black Beans have 7.5grams of fiber in only 1/2cup
-Raspberries have 8grams of fiber in 1cup
-Sweet Potato has 6.6grams of fiber in 1cup
-Yams has 5.3grams of fiber in 1cup
-Cinnamon has 2.5grams of fiber in 2teaspoons (sprinkle on tea, fruits, chai latte, green tea latte, sweet potato, yams)
-kale (2.7grams of fiber in 2 cups), Romaine Lettuce (2grams of fiber in 2cups), Spinach (1.3grams in 2cups)

Yes, you do have to eat healthy to burn the fat off of your belly. You must have more calories going out and fewer calories coming in. Yes calories do count!
So often we know details of our favorite designer, celebrity, sporting team, song or book but we have no idea what is in the food that we eat from the calories to the chemicals. This is why over 60% of the American population is either overweight or obese and heart disease is the number one killer with cancer being a close second. It’s time to stop mindless eating and educate ourselves, our children and our families about the food that we are eating. Nutrition matters and calories do count.
There are 3,500 calories in one pound of fat, so you need to be eating 500 fewer calories (calorie negative) than what you burn daily (daily active metabolic rate) to lose one pound of fat a week.
If your daily active metabolic rate is 2,500 calories per day, then you should be eating 2,000 calories a day (of good quality food, whole foods, preferably organic without chemicals, from the earth not man made) to burn off one pound of fat in a week.
The truth is you also need to be doing core exercises, because it’s the synergy of a great training program and a great meal plan that delivers an incredible core and defined abs. Core focused cardio, total body toning and specific core defining exercises will absolutely help you blast the fat off of your belly.
The core is a group of muscles just like any other area in your body, and you must train them if you want them to improve with better strength, tone, endurance and flexibility.

SUMMER SHAPE UP TIPS
1) Drink half your body weight in ounces of water a day. If you weigh 150lbs drink 75 ounces of water which is only 4-5 small 16oz bottles. You must hydrate because cellulite is dehydrated fat tissue (adipose tissue).
2) Replace your table salt with Himalayan Salt because Himalayan salt is packed with essential minerals like potassium which is needed for hydration in your body as part of your sodium potassium pump. It also helps lower high blood pressure.
3) Foam Roll & Massage your legs to break up your fat tissue and to help the circulation of nutrients to your muscles.
4) Add Weight Training or Resistance Training (Yoga, Body Weight Training) to your weekly workout regimen to tone your muscles which will also help burn the fat tissue.
5) Decrease your intake of sodium and processed foods that are packed with salt. Remember salt is dehydrating you & cellulite is dehydrated adipose (fat) tissue.
